High Point, N.C. - Inclement weather forced the suspension of the first round of the High Point Invitational on Monday at Meadowlands Golf Course in High Point, N.C. Most teams still need to play six to seven holes before completing the first round, and those will be finished on Tuesday morning. The second and final round of the tournament will take place immediately after the completion of the first 18 holes.

Heavy rains pushed the original start time back several hours on Monday and a patch of severe thunderstorms in the afternoon cut the first day short.

The Citadel is one of 12 teams participating in the tournament. Fellow Southern Conference members Appalachian State, Elon, Western Carolina and Wofford are among those in the field.
