Charleston, S.C. - The Citadel Athletic Department and head coach Wendy Anderson released the 2006 Citadel Volleyball Schedule Monday. The 2006 slate features three tournaments, 14 home matches, and a tri-match round of games hosted by The Citadel. The Citadel will open the season on Aug. 25 against N.C. State at the Spring Hill Suites Classic hosted by Charlotte.

The Bulldogs home schedule gets underway on August 29 when The Cadets will host Charleston Southern in McAlister Field House at 7 p.m., before the Bulldogs head to Hampton, Va., for the Hampton University Tournament. The Citadel will also participate in the All Academy Tournament in West Point, N.Y., on Sept. 15-16.

The Citadel's Southern Conference schedule kicks off on Sept. 19 when the Bulldogs will face the College of Charleston in a 7 p.m. match at CofC. Anderson's Bulldogs will host their first SoCon match of the season on Sept. 27 when they play host to Georgia Southern at 7 p.m.

The Citadel's final home match will be at 2 p.m., on Nov. 4 when the Cadets host Western Carolina. The Bulldogs round out the regular season at Elon in a 2 p.m. showdown on Nov. 11. The Citadel will begin the postseason at the Southern Conference Tournament on Nov. 16-19, hosted by Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C.
