Charleston, S.C. The Citadel Football will officially kick-off the 2006 season next week as the Bulldogs start practice on Friday, Aug. 4th and host media day on Aug. 5th at Johnson Hagood Stadium.

Players report on Thursday and the start of the season goes into full swing on Friday with practice from 8 to 11 a.m. on Willson Field and Washington Light Infantry Field. The team will have two and a half weeks of practices and meetings every day until the start of classes on Aug. 23.

On Saturday, Aug. 5th, The Citadel will host their annual Media Day, where players and coaches will be available for photos and interviews with local and national media. All players, who will be in home uniforms, will be available to the media in the East Stands from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a media social to include coaches, seniors and media from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Altman Center.
