Boone, N.C.-- Due to expected inclement weather in the Boone area Saturday evening, The Citadel will play a doubleheader against Appalachian State on Friday, April 13 beginning at 2 p.m. at Smith Stadium. Game two will begin 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one.

Severe weather is expected to hit Boone, N.C. late Saturday afternoon, so the clubs decided to play a doubleheader on Friday and potentially start at noon instead of 1 p.m. on Saturday so they can complete the three-game set before inclement weather hits. 

Appalachian State hosts their first Southern Conference series as the new Smith Stadium against The Citadel this weekend.  Fans are reminded that there is not any seating available and should bring their own chairs for the games.
