Charleston, S.C. The Citadel's Daniel Dossetor was named to the All-Southern Conference Singles First Team for the third consecutive year while Dossetor and James Eason picked up their third All-SoCon Doubles First Team honor as the Southern Conference announced the All-Conference teams Thursday afternoon.
Dossetor reached as high as a national No. 118 ranking in singles and posted a 13-9 record during the spring dual match season, going 5-4 in SoCon action. Dossetor went 2-5 against nationally ranked opponents throughout the season, including a 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 win over Clemson's Clement Reix, then ranked 46th in the country.
The Dossetor-Eason tandem were ranked as high as 20th in the country this season and played to a 27-8 record throughout the year, going 16-6 during the spring dual match season and went 8-1 in Southern Conference play, with their only conference loss of the season coming at the hands of Elon's Damon Gooch and Mason Schermerhorn, an 8-6 decision.
Dossetor and Eason, along with the rest of the NetDogs, opened play in the Southern Conference Tournament Thursday afternoon as the Bulldogs host the conference championships for the seventh consecutive year. The Bulldogs faced seventh-seeded Georgia Southern at the Earle Tennis Center.
