?Turn Back the Century? Baseball Game to be Televised on CSS

Charleston, S.C.  The “Turn Back the Century” baseball game between The Citadel and the College of Charleston on April 4 will be televised live from Riley Park on Comcast Sports Southeast.  Matt Stewart and Nate Ross will be broadcasting the wood bat game as the Bulldogs and Cougars meet for a non-conference match-up.

This is the second season that the Bulldogs and Cougars will don throwback uniforms and play with wooden bats.

CSS is a partnership between Comcast Corporation and Charter Communications, the nation's largest and third-largest broadband communications companies. The “Turn Back the Century” game can be seen on Comcast channel 42 in the Charleston area.  For program listings in your area, visit www.csssports.com

Since 2001, the Diamond Dogs are 3-2 in televised games. The Citadel slipped past Georgia Southern, 3-2, in a Southern Conference tournament game as the Dogs went on to be the tournament champions that season. In 2003, the Bulldogs traveled to Miami, Fla. to take on the Hurricanes for a Friday night match-up. The Dogs pulled away with an 8-7 victory over the Canes.  The Citadel defeated Furman, 4-1, the last time the Bulldogs were on television in 2006.

The Cougars won the last televised meeting with the Bulldogs as CofC enjoyed a 9-7 victory at Riley Park in 2005.
