Freshman catcher Richard Jones blasted three doubles in one game and collected five RBI in two consecutive contests to lead The Citadel over the weekend.  Jones was responsible for 10 of the 17 runs the Bulldogs pushed across the plate in a doubleheader with UNC Greensboro on Sunday.  The Sumter, S.C. native smacked two consecutive two-out doubles to plate four before tacking on a fifth RBI with a third two-bagger in game one as the Dogs suffered an 8-7 loss in 11 innings.

Jones came back in game two and collected two RBI with a sac fly and a bases loaded walk.  The freshman then homered in his fifth consecutive series as he sent a two-out, three-run shot over the wall in right center in the top of the ninth to help the Bulldogs avoid the sweep with a 10-3 victory over the Spartans.  Jones totaled 10 RBI on the day and enjoyed a 1.250 slugging percentage over the two games.
