The Citadel Ranked 24th in Latest AnyGivenSaturday.com Poll

Charleston, S.C. For the first time since the 25th-ranked Cadets faced No. 5 Wofford in 2003, The Citadel Bulldogs have earned a place in the national football rankings. The Citadel, who is off to a 2-1 start, was ranked 24th in the AnyGivenSaturday.com poll Monday as the Bulldogs prepare to open Southern Conference play at Chattanooga Saturday.

Northern Iowa is the new national No. 1 in the AnyGivenSaturday.com (AGS) Poll of the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Panthers garnered 50 first place votes to replace the reigning champion Appalachian State Mountaineers as the top FCS team. The AGS poll places four Southern Conference teams in the top 25.

Wofford is ranked eighth, Furman is 20th while Elon leapfrogged The Citadel to attain a 24th-place ranking following their dominating win over Liberty.
