Charleston, S.C The Citadel will host the first Southeastern Air Rifle Conference (SEARC) match of the season on Friday, Oct. 10, and continuing on Saturday. Rifle action will take place in the Inouye Marksmanship Center.
Shooting in this weekend's competition will be North Carolina State, Mercer, Augusta State, Clemson, Georgia Military, as well as The Citadel Bulldogs. The teams from Wofford and North Georgia College State University were unable to make it to this weekend's match. The relays will begin at 3 p.m., followed by a second relay at 6 p.m. Rifle action will continue on Saturday with three relays at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and, 12 p.m.
The Citadel men's team looks to improve on their scores from last weekend's competition against Army and North Carolina State. The Bulldog Men totaled 2224 in air rifle and 2192 in smallbore for a combined total of 4416 for third place. The Bulldog Women scored a team total of 2155 in air rifle competition and also look to improve.
