Bulldogs Take Second in the First SEARC Match of the Season

Charleston, S.C. The Citadel shooters took second in the first Southeastern Air Rifle Conference (SEARC) match of the season Friday and Saturday afternoons at the Inouye Marksmanship Center. 

The Citadel men had an overall score of 2,240 and the women's team followed with 2,174 points. Trey Herndon was the top shooter for the Bulldogs with a score of 572 followed by Patricia Thibodeau with 568. 

North Carolina State took home top honors with a total score of 2,304, as four North Carolina State shooters fired their personal bests. The Bulldogs placed second followed by Clemson, Georgia Military College, Mercer and Augusta State, respectively.

Rifle action will continue on Saturday, Oct 18 when the Bulldogs host shooters from the third-ranked TCU and Akron in an open NCAA match at The Inouye Marksmanship Center.
