Clemson, S.C. Junior Monique Edwards recorded a mark of 49' 9.25” in the 20lb. weight throw Saturday, finishing eighth, as The Citadel closed out competition at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Clemson University.

The 49' 9.25” mark was a season-high for Edwards as she led the women's team at the Clemson Indoor Track Facility. In the 35lb. weight throw competition, Quintin Turner finished 12th with a throw of 42' 6”.

In the 3,000m run, sophomore Brendan Kight placed 17th with a time of 9:11.05 while freshman Chris Fallis finished 21st, running 9:15.38.

In the sprints, junior Bryan Hladik finished second in his preliminary heat and 24th overall in the 400m, running 51.44 while senior Jonathan Vallejo finished fourth in his heat and 32nd overall, running 51.61.

Senior Jodi Whittle ran 26.17 to finished second in her heat and 26th overall in the 200m dash.
