Jamel Brown Concludes 2008 Track and Field Season with Fifth Place Finish in Prelims of 400m Hurdles at NCAA Regional Championships

Tallahassee, Fla. Redshirt junior Jamel Brown ran 54.47 in the preliminary heats of the 400m hurdles at the 2008 NCAA East Regional Track and Field Championships as he concluded the 2008 season on the campus of Florida State University.

Brown's performance was his first at the NCAA Regional Championships and marked the third consecutive season that a Bulldog athlete has qualified for the NCAA Regionals.

Brown's time of 54.47 placed him fifth in his heat and 30th overall. A member of the Class of 2008, Brown graduated on May 3 from The Citadel but having only competed in the past three years, still has one year of athletic eligibility remaining.
