Charleston, S.C. True freshman running back Asheton Jordan and All-American junior wide receiver Andre Roberts earned two of four SoCon Player of the Week honors announced Monday by the Southern Conference. Jordan earned Freshman of the Week, while Roberts earned Special Teams Player of the Week for their performances in Saturday's 54-7 victory over Webber International at Sansom Field at Johnson Hagood Stadium.

Roberts, who was recently named to the Walter Payton Watch List, returned the first punt for a touchdown since 1999 in The Citadel's 54-7 victory over the Warriors. Roberts returned a total of four punts for 116 yards, averaging 29 yards per attempt to post the highest average in the FCS during week one. Roberts also recorded three catches for 91 yards, including a game-long 78-yard pass from quarterback Bart Blanchard.
