Charleston, S.C. - The Citadel Women's Golf team prepares for first tee in the Wendy's Invitational hosted by neighbor, Charleston Southern University. The 36-hole tournament will be held at the Coosaw Creek Country Club in Charleston, S.C. with competition beginning Monday, Oct. 19 and ending Tuesday, Oct. 20.
The Bulldogs will see action against 14 teams including Southern Conference foe the College of Charleston. Also participating in the two-day event is the University of Alabama-Birmingham, Armstrong Atlantic State University, Carson-Newman College, Charleston Southern University, Coastal Carolina University, Florida Gulf Coast University, High Point University, the University of Memphis, Methodist University, Presbyterian College, the University of South Carolina-Beaufort, South Carolina State University and Winthrop University.
The Citadel looks to improve their 11th place finish from last season as the hosting Lady Bucs attempt to recapture the team title. In last year's competition, Charleston Southern's Olivia Jordan-Higgins led the way as she finished tied for first and claimed the trophy after winning the tiebreaker.
