Football Fall Camp Report: Day Four

Charleston, S.C. - The Citadel Football returned to the field for day four and the second day of split practice of fall camp on Tuesday at the Maybank Triplets Practice Facility at Willson Field. The Bulldogs worked out for three-hours-and-thirty minutes for a total of 40 periods. There were no injuries reported.

With the veterans out first followed by the rookies, Bulldog Head Coach Kevin Higgins said this split routine allowed the coaches to get a better evaluation of the younger players. Both groups completed two sessions of pass skeleton followed by four periods of team thud. Tuesday's practice emphasis was on the perimeter run. Two field goal blocks were also introduced as well as a new punt return.

The Citadel will return to the practice field on Wednesday for their first day of full pads at the Maybank Triplets Practice Facility at 8 a.m. The Bulldogs' season-opener will take place on Saturday, Sept. 5 at North Carolina. Tickets are available in The Citadel ticket office for the 6 p.m. matchup against the Tar Heels. For more ticket information, call the ticket office at (843) 953-DOGS (3647).
