Charleston, S.C. - The Bulldog Football team returned to action this morning for day eight of fall camp and the second installment of two-a-day practices at the Maybank Triplets Practice Facility at Willson Field. The Bulldogs worked out for two and half hours in cooler temperatures and will practice again this afternoon at 3:15 p.m.

Following a day where the defense dominated practice, today it was the offense that impressed at camp. "Coming back from yesterday's practice, the offense looked much better this morning. We worked on our screen and perimeter passing game and also instituted a live third down scrimmage, offense vs. defense," said Bulldog Head Coach Kevin Higgins. "We also worked on installing our kickoff return game and will continue to work on that this afternoon along with our red zone sequences between the 25 and 15 yard lines."

Following this afternoon's practice, The Citadel will return to the practice field on Monday at 8 a.m. at the Maybank Triplets Practice Facility.

The Bulldogs' season-opener will take place on Saturday, Sept. 5 at North Carolina. Tickets are available in The Citadel ticket office for the 6 p.m. matchup against the Tar Heels.
