Persaud to Represent Bulldogs on Guyana Women's National Team

Charleston, S.C. - Bulldog soccer player Nikkita Persaud was selected to compete on the Guyana Women's National Football Team for a chance at the 2010 World Cup with the first qualifying round on March 3-7 in Guyana, South America.  

Guyana will hope to defeat St. Vincent, Suriname and Cuba and tally nine points (three points per win) to advance to the next round. Persaud will be coached by Mark Rodrigues.

A sophomore and a native of Ontario, Canada, Persaud plays forward for the Bulldog soccer team. She started in all 19 contests in 2009, finishing the season with three goals, two assists, eight points and 39 shots.
