Charleston, S.C. - The Citadel Golf team will compete in a two-day tournament this weekend in Rock Hill, S.C., hosted by Winthrop University at the Rock Hill Country Club. This will be the Bulldogs' third tournament of the 2010 fall season.

The Cadets will compete in the Winthrop Intercollegiate for the first time this weekend; however it will not be the first time the Bulldogs have played at the Rock Hill Country Club. They last played on the par 72, 18-hole course in March 2008 at the Shamrock Intercollegiate where they took 13th place overall.

The Citadel looks to improve on last weekend's seventh place finish at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate in Sunset Beach, N.C. Freshman Erica Pellegrini led the Bulldogs in both tournaments this season finishing 87th (+13) overall at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate and 26th (+21) overall at last week's three-day tournament hosted by Elon.

There will be nine teams competing in this weekend's competition including Winthrop, Radford, Presbyterian, Towson, St. Francis, USC-Upstate, Gardner-Webb, and Southern Conference foe Wofford.
