Brackets for 2010 Wrestling NCAA Championships Released

Omaha, Neb. - The brackets for the 2010 NCAA Championships at the Qwest Center from March 18-20 were released on Wednesday evening.

True freshman Turtogtokh Luvsandorj (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia) and sophomore Odie Delaney (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.) will represent The Citadel after earning automatic bids virtue of winning their respective weight classes at the Southern Conference Championships at Davidson, N.C on Saturday.

Luvsandorj becomes the second straight true freshman to qualify for the event after Delaney performed the feat a year ago. The Mongolian won the 157-pound weight class as the No. 3 seed and a first-round bye. He will take on redshirt senior Steven Brown of Central Michigan who is ranked as the No. 12 seed at 157.

Delaney will make a return trip to the NCAA Tournament after winning the heavyweight division at the SoCon Championships, also as a No. 3 seed. Last year, the sophomore earned the bid at 197-pounds. He will face a familiar foe in Duke's Konrad Dudziak who is the No. 4 national seed at heavyweight. Dudziak and Delaney faced off just a few weeks ago in Charleston when the Blue Devils visited McAlister Field House.

A full preview of Bulldog wrestlers in the NCAA Championships will be posted next week. Competition begins on Thursday, March 18. For more information on Bulldog wrestling, stay current at CitadelSports.com.
