Daniel Dossetor Enters ATP Rankings

Charleston, S.C. - Former Bulldog tennis player Daniel Dossetor earned his first international ranking at No. 1484 in the South African Airways ATP Ranking, released on March 1.

Dossetor competed in a $10,000 Futures event in Australia, winning his first main draw match against fellow countryman Jarryd Chaplin, 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 on Feb. 15. "All the sweat and hard work has finally paid off and I feel my confidence going up for the up and coming tournaments," said Dossetor. "I owe much of my success to the training that I had at The Citadel under the coaching staff and fellow teammates who pushed me everyday to get to the next level." Dossetor feels that if it were not for the constant motivation and commitment of The Citadel and the tennis program, he would not have been able to train and get to the level he is now.

"It's nice to see some of our former players advancing professionally," states The Citadel head coach Toby Simpson. "It's great for our program. These student-athletes work hard at The Citadel and it's exciting to see them succeed at the next level."

The coaching staff and players continue to encourage Dossetor and are very proud of his recent success. They hope that he will continue to produce more success in the near future. Dossetor will continue to train and compete hard for the next tournaments and will use this as a stepping stone to further success on the circuit.
