Bulldog Track and Field Prepares For Prestigious Duke Invitational

Charleston, S.C. - The Citadel track and field team continues their outdoor season at the prestigious Duke Invitational on Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3 in Durham, N.C. at Wallace Wade Stadium. Events on Friday will begin at noon with the women's javelin and the meet will conclude on Saturday with the men's 4x800-meter relay at 5:50 p.m.

The Bulldogs will be joined by over 1,500 athletes from 50-plus schools, in addition to several competitive squads.

The Last Run
Last week at The Military Track and Field Championships, the Bulldog men and women each finished fifth overall. The men tallied 54.40 points while the women collected 49 points. Brendan Kight broke the school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:25.50 while Brunson Miller led the men with his second place finish in the 400-meter dash.

Micah Wessinger guided the women when she finished third in the 800-meter with a time of 2:13.58 and Sarah Strickland improved her No. 2 all-time spot in the 1,500-meter by four seconds.
