Bulldogs Complete Day One at Duke Invitational

Durham, N.C. - The Citadel track and field team successfully completed day one at the Duke Invitational at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, N.C. on Friday.

For the second time this season, Monique Edwards had a throw of 161' 3" in the hammer to finish fifth overall. Brendan Kight earned a personal-best and moved to the third all-time when he ran 8:49.62 minutes in the 3,000-meter for eighth place.

Chris Fallis placed 10th in the 1,500-meter with a time of 4:11.56 and Matt Earls threw a season-best in the javelin. He threw 158' 7" for 15th place.

The Bulldogs will continue to compete in the Duke Invitational on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the men's shot put. A full recap and results will be available following Saturday's events.
