Dallas, Texas - The Citadel baseball team earned their second national ranking of the season on Monday as the cracked the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll at No. 30.

The Bulldogs sport an overall record 42-20 after going a perfect 4-0 en route to their 8th Southern Conference Tournament title last week. The 42 wins are the most for head coach Fred Jordan and the second most in school history. It is the fourth 40-win season in school history.

This is the second national ranking the Bulldogs have received this season after they were pegged at No. 25 by Collegiate Baseball on March 29, their first national ranking since 2001.

No. 3 seed The Citadel will play No. 2 seed Virginia Tech on Friday at 2 p.m. at Carolina Stadium in the Columbia Regional. Live stats will be available.
