Charleston, S.C.— The Citadel's Head Golf Coach, Lori Bonacci, announced Amelia Goodwin, Eraina Manor and Hollie Salvo have signed national letters of intent to compete for the Bulldogs in the fall of 2012.

Goodwin attends James Island Charter High School in Charleston, S.C. A two-sport athlete, Goodwin has received five letters in soccer and four in golf. Following her junior season, in which she was captain, Goodwin received Most Valuable Player from golf head coach Jake Jurecki. She chose The Citadel over the Air Force Academy, University of Miami (Fla.), Naval Academy, and Texas A&M.

Manor currently attends Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Texas. In 2011, she guided a team with no seniors to a fourth place showing in the Texas state championship. Following that performance she drew accolades for All-District, All-Region, All-State academic and was named Byron Nelson Award winner. Under the tutelage of head coach Barry Hawkins, Manor recently completed her fall schedule with an average round of 73.

Salvo is a senior at Grissom High School in Huntsville, Ala., where she is playing under the direction of Teresa Stephens. Prior to that she played at Wiesbaden High School for coach Jim Campbell, where she earned a first place and two second place showings at the DODEA (Department of Defense Dependent Schools) European Championships. Salvo earned the title of team captain and was named best female golfer over the course of her three-year career at Wiesbaden HS. She has an average drive of 250 yards, a five handicap and has recorded a hole-in-one along with several eagles.

"This group of newcomers bring a wealth of experience on to our very young team," said Bonacci. "These girls have played overseas and in national tournaments across the United States. I hope to see one of them as SoCon Freshman of the Year."
