Charleston, S.C. - As The Citadel Baseball celebrates opening weekend, the Bulldog Football team will be back in action as well as they take to the field for the first day of spring ball.

The football team will kick-off the first day of practice at the Maybank Triplets Practice Facility on Friday, Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. The two-hour workout will be in helmets and shorts, and will be followed by a Saturday morning practice on Feb. 19 at 10:15 a.m.

The four-week practice period will mainly consist of Tuesday, Friday and Saturday workouts, concluding with the Blue and White Game on Saturday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. at Johnson Hagood Stadium. The intra-squad scrimmage is open and free to the public.

The 2011 team will report in the fall on Aug. 4 and the Bulldogs' first game of the upcoming season will take place on Sept. 3 against Jacksonville at Johnson Hagood Stadium.
