CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel's senior point guard Cameron Wells drew national recognition by earning his second NetScouts Basketball Southern Conference Player of the Week this season for games played through March 4. Wells finished with 19 points in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament against Elon, wrapping up his record breaking career with 13 second half points. The Houston, Texas native hit 3-of-9 from the floor and converted 7-of-8 free throw attempts in the second half, however the Bulldogs were unable to overcome a double-digit deficit in the 85-74 loss. It is the second time this season that Netscouts Basketball has recognized Wells as SoCon Player of the Week, the other coming on Jan. 28.
