One-on-one with Citadel signee Jordan Robertson

Editor's Note: This is the sixth installment of an eight-part series that analyzes the 2010-11 Citadel basketball class. This week we will focus on Greensboro, N.C. native and power forward Jordan Robertson. Next week will be an in-depth look at Gainsville, Ga. native Dylen Setzekorn.

Charleston, S.C.— Power forward Jordan Robertson was one of two North Carolina players that Citadel Basketball Head Coach Chuck Driesell added during the early 2011 signing period, and like his Tar Heel state counterpart, Lawrence Miller, Robertson comes from a highly-acclaimed high school program. Robertson comes to The Citadel from Greensboro Day School, who has won at least 20 games in each of the last five seasons, including a 30-4 record during his freshman season.

Under the direction of legendary coach Freddy Johnson Jr., who holds the distinction of having the most wins in North Carolina Private High School history, the Bengals were 107-20 (.842) during Robertson's four seasons. Greensboro Day School reached the 2008 state finals during that span, before suffering a 51-48 loss to Christ School. In 2010-11 the Bengals closed out the season 23-5 and capitalized on a nine-game winning streak that spanned November and early December. Robertson also drew interest from Navy and VMI before making a commitment to The Citadel.
