CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team returns to action on Sunday when it hosts SIU-Edwardsville at McAlister Field House in a dual match set for 1 p.m.
 
The match marks the third this week for the Dogs, who suffered nine setbacks, including three major decisions and a technical fall, in a 33-3 defeat to Southern Conference preseason favorite Chattanooga on Friday evening at Maclellan Gym.
 
Chattanooga (8-5, 3-0 SoCon) extended its winning streak to 18 straight in league action, while the Bulldogs slipped to 4-5 overall and 2-2 against conference foes.
 
The Citadel's lone win of the match came courtesy of Aaron Walker in the 157 classification. Walker, an NCAA qualifier, posted a 10-4 decision over Austin Sams 10-4 to make for a 13-3 overall score.
 
SIUE recorded a split Friday in a pair of Southern Conferences matches at Davidson.
 
VMI edged the Cougars 21-18 before SIUE bounced host Davidson 24-13. The Cougars moved to 4-14 overall and 1-2 in the SoCon.
