CHARLESTON, S.C. - In its final competition of the 2014-15 season, The Citadel rifle team finished in third place at the SEARC championship match held Saturday at the Inouye Marksmanship center.
The Bulldogs finished with a score of 2,276 in the air rifle match, trailing champion NC State (2,326) and North Georgia (2,304). Rounding out the team standings were Wofford, Georgia Southern, Georgia Military College, UAB and Clemson.
Richie Parra fired a personal-best score of 577 to tie for 10th in the individual standings.
Morgan Long was second among Citadel shooters and 20th overall with a mark of 571, followed by
Robert Jackson, Charles Yeh and
Colton Poole (564) and
Richard Hunton (561).
Jackson was eighth in the final SEARC standings as determined by averaging the individual match scores for the entire season followed by a final round of competition.
Amber Mills led the way for the Bulldog women in air rifle with a score of 548.
Elizabeth Ordway posted a 544 and Raven Wills came in at 541.
