CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team welcomes SIU-Edwardsville to McAlister Field House on Thursday.

The Bulldogs (2-8, 1-3 SoCon) are led by 157-pound graduate student Aaron Walker with a team-high 21 wins this season. Walker earned his sixth pin of the season on Sunday against Campbell and holds a 4-0 conference record.

Junior Ty Buckiso has the team's second-most wins with 20 this season at 149 pounds and is also 4-0 in the SoCon. Bucksio heads into the week on a six-match winning streak.

Sophomore Sawyer Root at 197-lbs. and 141-lb. freshman Douglas Gudenburr are tied for third place with 17 total wins. Root holds a 3-1 record in the SoCon and Gudenburr sits at 2-2.

SIU-Edwardsville (3-10, 3-2) comes off of a 1-1 doubleheader where they ousted the SoCon's Gardner-Webb and then fell to South Dakota State on January 28. The Bulldogs hold a 3-1 all-time record over the Cougars since their first match in 2013.

Thursday's match against the Cougars is set to begin at 6 p.m. and offers free admission. The match will be broadcast on ESPN3, with live stats available at CitadelSports.com.
