Cross Country Wraps Up Season at NCAA Southeast Regionals

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Citadel cross country teams wrapped up competition at the NCAA Southeast Regional this Friday afternoon.

FOR THE WOMEN

Amber Opp recorded a personal best with a time of 22:44.40 etching her name into 167^thplace in a field of 245. She would advance 30 spots from the halfway mark where she clocked in at 10:59.50.
Casey Miller hit the 2.8k mark at 11:18.20 and would end up finishing 213^thwith a final time of 23:46.80. Miller shaved a minute from her time in the 2017 NCAA Regional.

FOR THE MEN

Colin Martin was the first Bulldog to cross the finish line recording a time of 33:03.7, giving him 139^thplace.
Followed by Martin, was Francis O'Brien who finished with a mark of 35:07.6.
Jeremy Shipley, who was the only returning NCAA Regional participant last year for the Bulldogs, was the third cadet-athlete to cross the line for the team finishing with a final time of 35:21.7.
The freshman duo of Lane Johnson and Devon Heisler were the final members of the team to cross the finish line.
