Huddleston Announces 2018-19 Cross Country Schedule

Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel has released the 2018-19 cross country schedule, announced by head coach Jody Huddleston. The Bulldogs will open their six-meet season on September 1st at in-town rival, Charleston Southern.
"We are looking forward to this season and are excited about a few changes in the schedule. It's always nice to stay closer to home at the beginning of the season and find out where we stand as we prepare for the upcoming events," said Huddleston. "We are looking forward to a new venture with Johns Island County Park and the College of Charleston as we co-host the Charleston Collegiate Cross Country Classic. We have a good group returning and with the addition of a couple of freshmen we will be able to improve on last year's season," stated Huddleston.
The 2018 campaign will continue on Sept. 15 as the 'Dogs will travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to participate in the Winthrop Invitational. The Citadel will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. for the final weekend in Sept. to compete at USC Upstate.
The Bulldogs will co-host the Charleston Cross Country Classic on Johns Island on Oct. 6 followed by the final regular-season meet hosted by Charleston Southern on Oct. 17.
The postseason will begin with SoCon Championships in Cullowhee, N.C. hosted by Western Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Depending on results from the SoCon Championships, the Bulldogs will compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional located at Winthrop University on Nov. 9.
