FINAL RESULTS
LEXINGTON, Va. – The Citadel mixed rifle team continued its strong start to the season by defeating VMI, 4558-4471, Saturday morning at Kilbourne Hall. The women's team finished in fourth with an aggregate score of 4282

The Bulldogs had each of the top three scorers in the match with
Cameron Bates winning the event with an aggregate score of 1151 (577 SB, 574 AR). Bates was followed closely by
Charlotte Welsh (1140) and
Emily Perkins (1136).
Max Brabston finished seventh with a score of 1109.

Riley Neiders was the top finisher for the women's team with an aggregate score of 1181, just edging out teammate
Demi Perez (1178).

THREE-POSITION SMALLBORE
- Bates started the day by taking home the top score in three-position smallbore with a 577. Bates was very efficient in the prone position, shooting a 99 and 100. It was the only 100 scored in smallbore.
- Brabston finished second in smallbore with a total of 564.
- Welsh and Perkins finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Welsh had a total of 554 and Perkins 553.
- Perez was the top finisher on the women's team, finishing 13th overall with a score of 525.
- Neiders shot a 522, and was followed by Taylor Swiger (513) and Emma McCorkle (510).

AIR RIFLE
- The competition for the top spot in air rifle was tight throughout, with only three points separating the top two finishers.
- Welsh was able to shoot a 97 in the final round to take home the top score with a 586.
- Welsh just edge out her teammate, Perkins, who finished with a 583.
- Bates finished fourth with a 574, while Brandon Oerman was sixth with a 567.
- Neiders was the top finisher on the women's team, finishing 10th with a score of 559.
- Swiger shot a 554 to finish 12th and Perez was 13th with a score of 553.
