CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team will become the first Division I team to compete on the mat when the Bulldogs welcome St. Thomas to McAlister Field House Saturday afternoon. The dual is set to begin at 2 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN+.
 
The match will also be the first for head coach Ryan LeBlanc.
 
The Bulldogs return an experienced group of wrestlers, led by NCAA qualifiers Dazjon Casto and Selwyn Porter. Both were scheduled to wrestle at the NCAA Championships a season ago before the event was cancelled due to the pandemic.
 
Senior Michael McAleavey also returns after going 22-18 last year and placing third at the Southern Conference championships.
 
The remainder of the Bulldogs schedule will be released at a later date.
