How it Happened
- The Bulldogs wasted very little time in jumping out to an early lead after Jordie White registered a first-period fall.
- Jake Rotunda continued the momentum as he utilized a pair of takedowns and three near falls for the impressive 16-1 victory.
- Ethan Willis followed up Rotunda's technical fall with one of his own. The sophomore secured the win with a takedown.
- Selwyn Porter turned up the pressure in the second period and use a takedown to secure the fall with less than 30 seconds remaining in the period.
- In the most competitive match of the day, Grant Speer used a takedown late in the third period to secure the 9-7 victory.
- Dazjon Casto utilized three first-period takedowns to open a lead, then took his time to secure the fall with under a minute to go in the opening period.
- Cole Burke controlled his match from the beginning and nearly secured a fall early in the first period. He continued the pressure and his third near fall of the match resulted in the technical fall.
- Kyle Kretzer jumped out with three takedowns and a pair of near falls in the opening period. He opened the second period by escaping from the bottom and turning his opponent over for the fall.
- Ben Stemmet was very impressive in his collegiate debut as the freshman needed only 35 seconds to record a fall.
- Michael McAleavey closed out the match with a quick takedown and a first-period fall.
