EDISTO ISLAND, S.C. – Megan Ikeda recorded four birdies on her way to shooting a 74 to lead The Citadel on day two of the Edisto Island Invitational at the Plantation Course.

As a team, the Bulldogs shot a 315, improving seven shots from the opening round.

How it Happened

Megan Ikeda shot the best round of her career as she shot a three-over par 74.
She started on the 13^th hole and parred the first three holes before recording a birdie on the par-3 16^th. After making the turn at even par, Ikeda starting the front nine with three-straight pars before registering her second birdie on the par-4 4^th hole.
Ikeda would add birdies on the seventh and 10^th holes to close out her round.
Lauren Sommerfeld shot her best round as a Bulldog, firing a second-round 79. She registered her lone birdie on the day on the par-3 6^th hole.
Paige Gilstrap and Sarah Smith each shot a second-round 81.
Gilstrap was strong on the back nine, shotting a two-over par, including a birdie on the 17^th hole.
Smith made the turn to the front nine and shot par on each of the first six holes. She would later birdie the par-5 10^th hole.
Mirabella Calabrase improved seven shots from her opening round. Her round included a birdie on the par-3 third hole.
