SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Citadel's Heidi Fortin has been selected as the Southern Conference Women's Runner of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.
 
The honor is the second of the season for Fortin. She was also tabbed the Runner of the Week on Sept. 18.
 
Fortin was recognized after she ran a time of 18:54.9 in the 5K race at the Royals Cross Country Challenge held at McAlpine Park. The time was her second fastest on that course this season. Two weeks prior, Fortin ran a time of 18:23 on a dry course.
