CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel rifle team took down UAB, 4,559-4,539, on Saturday inside the Inouye Marksmanship Center.
 
The Bulldogs took home the top two spots overall, with Charlotte Welsh leading the way with an aggregate score of 1,149. Just narrowly beating teammate James Hart (1,148).
 
Smallbore Results

• The Bulldogs finished with a score of 2,235.
• James Hart paced the Bulldogs in smallbore with a score of 565, placing third.
• Charlotte Welsh finished fifth with a score of 564.
• Cameron Bates was sixth with a score of 553, and Jack Wittman was seventh with a score of 553.
• Emily Perkins rounded out the scoring with a score of 544.
• Riley Neiders led the women's team with a score of 537, followed closely by Alana Ruggiero at 536.

 
Air Rifle Results

• The Bulldogs shot 2,324 in air rifle.
• Charlotte Welsh and Emily Perkins led the way by each shooting a 585.
• They were followed closely by James Hart with a score of 583.
• Riley Neiders led the women's team with a score of 578, finishing fifth overall.
• Cameron Bates finished seventh overall with a score of 571.
