ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Citadel had three wrestlers advance to the championship match at the Navy Classic in Annapolis, Maryland on Saturday. The Bulldogs finished with 61 points to place seventh out of 12 teams.
 
How it Happened

• Dazjon Casto, Selwyn Porter and Michael McAleavey each advanced to the finals with three victories.
• Casto started his day with an 11-5 decision over Skyler Crespo (Michigan State). He followed it up with a 5-1 victory in the quarterfinals and a 6-2 win in the semis.
• Casto fell in the championship match, 2-0, to Jordan Slivka (Ohio).
• Porter reached the finals with three decisions, including a 4-3 victory in the semifinals.
• He fell to Zack Hartman Belle (Bucknell) in the finals.
• McAleavey followed a decision in his first match with a 63-second fall in the quarterfinals.
• He defeated one wrestler from Navy in the semifinals, before dropping a 3-1 decision to Navy's Riley Smith in the finals.
• Cole Burke started his day with a decision in the opening round and followed it up with a fall in the second round. He would fall in the quarterfinals by a second-period fall.
• Jake Rotunda opened his day with a first-period fall in the round of 16. After dropping a match in the quarterfinals, Rotunda responded with his second fall in the consolation bracket.
