CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel rifle team dropped a close match, 5591-5582, to Georgia Southern Saturday morning inside the Inouye Marksmanship Center.
James Hart took home the top score, finishing with an aggregate total of 1,162. He shot a 576 to finish second in smallbore and a 586 to finish third in air rifle.
Demi Perez led the women's team with an aggregate score of 1,102.
Smallbore Results
- The Bulldogs finished with a total of 2,284.
- The women's team finished with a score of 2,151.
- James Hart and Charlotte Welsh tied for second with a score of 576.
- Cameron Bates was just behind them in fourth place with a score of 569.
- Jack Wittman shot a 563 to finish sixth.
- Riley Neiders was the top finisher for the women's team, finishing ninth with a score of 554.
- Emma McCorkle was 10th with a score of 545.
Air Rifle Results
- The Citadel finished with a team score of 2,298.
- The women's team posted a score of 2,235.
- Hart led the way with a third-place finish, shooting 586.
- Cameron Bates finished in fifth with a score of 580.
- Welsh was the next Bulldog finisher with a score of 573.
- Demi Perez had the top score for the women's team with a 570.
- McCorkle finished right behind Perez with a score of 568.
