Gunners Just Edged Out by North Georgia

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel rifle team had another record day Saturday hosting North Georgia. Just weeks after posting the highest aggregate score in school history against Nebraska, the Bulldogs beat that mark by one points with 4625 points, highlighted by winning the smallbore competition by a nine-point margin. North Georgia finished just higher with 4634 points, including an air rifle victory margin of 18.
 
Combined Results
  • North Georgia's Maya Cameron and Alyssa Kiser took the top two spots with respective 1169 and 1168 aggregates.
  • The Citadel grabbed the next three spots, brought on by Charlotte Welsh's 1167, James Hart's 1162, and Carson Wood's 1151.
Smallbore Results
  • The Citadel won the smallbore 2299 to 2290.
  • Charlotte Welsh won the competition with a 582 score.
  • North Georgia's Maya Cameron and Alyssa Kiser were tied for second with a 578.
  • James Hart garnered fourth with a 576.
  • Carson Wood took fifth at 574.
  • Aiden Malcolm was seventh with a 567.
  • Riley Neiders ranked tenth at 555.
  • Michaela Martin led the women's team in 11th at 553.
Air Rifle Results
  • North Georgia won the competition 2344 to 2326.
  • Maya Cameron and Alyssa Kiser represented North Georgia atop the leaderboard with 591 and 590 scores.
  • James Hart earned third at 586.
  • Charlotte Welsh finished fourth at 585.
  • Aiden Malcolm was seventh with a 578 score.
  • Carson Wood finished eighth at 577.
  • Michaela Martin led the women at 573.
