CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team put on an impressive display Sunday afternoon as the Bulldogs defeated Bellarmine, 38-3, inside McAlister Field House.

How it Happened
- Malik Hardy got the Bulldogs off to a fast start with an early takedown that he turned into four near fall points.
- He was able to control the match from the top the rest of the way for the 11-4 decision.
- Jake Rotunda was only on the match for 77 seconds, but it was exciting. Both wrestlers were able to secure takedowns, but Rotunda was able to muscle his way into top position and finish the match.
- Ethan Willis continued the momentum at 149 pounds with an early takedown. He would ride out the second period on top and then close out the match with his second takedown.
- Dazjon Casto left little doubt in his match as he registered a couple near falls in the second period on his way to a tech fall victory.
- Selwyn Porter found himself trailing heading into the third period before evening the match with a takedown.
- In sudden victory, Porter was able to shoot and secure the double leg for the 6-4 victory.
- Ben Haubert got the Bulldogs back on the scoreboard with a late takedown to tie the match, and then the four points for the near fall to secure the win.
- Ben Stemmet got in the win column with a strong finish to the first period and then riding out the match in the third period.
