CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's golf team closed out the 2020 Oyster Shuck Match Play event with a 4.0-1.0 victory over Coast Georgia Tuesday morning at the Charleston Municipal Golf Course.

How it Happened
- Megan Ikeda would get the Bulldogs off to a strong start with a 6&5 victory.
- Ikeda would finish the event by winning two of her three matches, and finishing the third match all square.
- Sarah Smith would get the second point for The Citadel as she won her match 7&5.
- Paige Gilstrap clinched the match by making a putt on the final hole, the par-3 14th.
- Gilstrap dropped her first match of the event, but came back to win her final two matches.
- Lauren Sommerfeld gave the Bulldogs their fourth point with a 3&2 victory.
- Sommerfeld took a 1UP lead on the 13th hole, then took a 2UP lead with a birdie on the short par-3 14th.
