The six inductees include Fred Jordan (Honorary), Sean Markey (Wrestling), Lathcha (Sanders) Brown (Track and Field), Bill Sansom (Honorary), Travis Stephens (Football) and Asher Wojciechowski (Baseball).

The 44th annual The Citadel Athletic Hall of Fame banquet will take place on Nov. 3 at the Charleston Marriott Crystal Room (170 Lockwood Drive). The cocktail receptions starts at 6 p.m., with the program set to begin at 7 p.m. The attire is smart casual.

Fred Jordan, Honorary, Class of 1979
The architect of the most successful era in Bulldog baseball, Fred Jordan closed out his 26-year tenure as The Citadel's all-time leader in career wins with 831. More impressively, the four-time Southern Conference Coach of the Year led the Bulldogs to 12 SoCon Championships, including seven SoCon Tournament Championships, and seven appearances in the NCAA Regionals.

Jordan was a master of development as 66 players went on to be named All-SoCon, with eight players being named the SoCon Pitcher of the Year. Additionally, 35 players heard their names called in the Major League Baseball Draft.

Sean Markey, Wrestling, Class of 2005
A four-time Southern Conference finalist and three-time NCAA qualifier, Sean Markey completed his Bulldog career with 125 career wins, including 69 victories by fall. The 2006 Southern Conference Wrestler of the Year closed out his career by reaching the Round of 16 at the NCAA Championships.

Markey was a three-time All-Academy champion and the recipient of the Ken Shelton Outstanding Wrestling award as a senior.

Lathcha (Sanders) Brown, Track and Field, Class of 2008
No name appears in The Citadel's track and field record book more than Lathcha (Sanders) Brown. The two-time team MVP ranks in the Top 10 in seven different indoor events and eight different outdoor events. She is still the school record holder in the 60-meter hurdles. She captured the 2007 Southern Conference championship in the heptathlon, was a three-time conference runner-up and six-time All-SoCon selection.

Sanders-Brown was twice named to the Dean's List, and earned Gold Star's during her final semester.

Bill Sansom, Honorary, Class of 1964
A former Regimental Commander for the South Carolina Corps of Cadets, Bill Sansom continues to leave a lasting impression at The Citadel. During his time as a cadet, Sansom was the Summerall Guards Commander, while also being the recipient of the Star of the West and the John O. Wilson Ring.

Sansom is a member of The Citadel Founders' Society and served 10 years on The Citadel Foundation Board of Directors. The field at Johnson Hagood Stadium was named in his honor in 2008, and prior to the 2020 season, Sansom donated $1.5 million for the installation of a new artificial surface inside Hagood Stadium.

Travis Stephens, Football, Class of 2002
A force in the middle of the Bulldog defense, Travis Stephens was a two-time All-American linebacker and a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award in 2001. He compiled over 100 tackles in each of his two seasons, including posting double-digit tackles in 18 of his final 21 games. Stephens ranks second on the school's single-season list with 23.0 tackles-for-loss in 2000, and tied for second in career tackles-for-loss with 45.0.

Stephens was twice named to the I-AA Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star team and was a 2001 CoSIDA Academic All-American. He was recently selected to the Southern Conference 100th Anniversary Team. He is also currently a board member of The Citadel Brigadier Foundation.

Asher Wojciechowski, Baseball, Class of 2011
An intimidating figure on the mound, Asher Wojciechowski put together one of the most impressive pitching seasons in school history in 2010. He was a consensus All-American after going 12-3 with a 3.58 ERA and 155 strikeouts in leading the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament. For his career, Wojciechowski comprised a 20-7 record and ranks third all-time with 308 strikeouts.

Following his junior season, Wojciechowski was selected 41st overall by the Toronto Blue Jays in the Major League Draft. He would go on to make 58 appearances in the majors for the Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees.
