CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel mixed rifle team finished second in a tri-match with Air Force and VMI on Saturday inside the Inouye Marksmanship Center. The Bulldogs finished with an aggregate score of 4,607, finishing second behind Air Force's score of 4,718. VMI placed third with a score of 4,542.
The Citadel women's team finished fifth with a score of 4,407.
Charlotte Welsh was the top finisher for the Bulldogs, finishing sixth with an aggregate score of 1,165.
James Hart rounded out the Top 10 with a score of 1,152.
Smallbore Results
- The Bulldogs shot a team total of 2,290.
- Charlotte Welsh was the top finisher, placing fifth with a score of 581.
- James Hart was right behind Welsh in sixth with a score of 576.
- Carson Wood finished with a score of 568, while Aiden Malcolm followed with a score of 565.
- Laini Morgan was the top finisher for the women's team with a score of 514.
Air Rifle Results
- The Bulldogs shot a team score of 2,317.
- Welsh again led the way with a score of 584, finishing eighth.
- Malcolm followed in ninth place with a score of 582.
- Hart finished with a score of 576, while Wood shot a 575.
