CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel rifle squad opened its season with a win at home Saturday against Wofford. They bested their upstate guests 4566-4389, with three individuals claiming top spots on the combined leaderboard. The women's team posted a 4,365 combined score.
 
Combined Results

• James Hart led the Bulldogs with the top score with 1,170 aggregate, finishing in the top spot in both the smallbore and the air rifle.
• Charlotte Welsh ranked second with 1,152.
• Carson Wood finished in fourth with a score of 1,138.
• Freshman Meghan Mix earned sixth with a score of 1,122.
• Daniel Shapiro posted a score of 1,106 to earn seventh.
• Riley Neiders led the women's team with a score of 1,096.

 
Smallbore Results

• The Bulldogs opened the day with a 2257-2136 win in the smallbore.
• James Hart took first with a score of 578.
• Carson Wood tied for second with a score of 569.
• Charlotte Welsh finished in fourth with 565.
• Meghan Mix led the women's team with a score of 535, as the women's team combined for a total score of 2,111.

 
Air Rifle Results

• James Hart placed first with a score of 592.
• Charlotte Welsh and Meghan Mix weren't far behind Hart as they tied for second with a score of 587.
• The women's team posted a score of 2,254.
• Carson Wood finished in the sixth spot with a total of 569.
• Riley Neiders finished in seventh with a score of 565.
