MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – The Citadel women's golf team shot an opening round 356 at the Rivertowne Invitational at the RiverTowne Country Club.

How it Happened

Megan Ikeda led the way with an opening round 83.
Ikeda started on the back-9 and was able to birdie the par-4 13^th hole.
She made the turn with a birdie on the par-4 first hole. She played the first seven holes of the front nine at two-over par.
Paige Glstrap opened the event with a pair on five of the first six holes she played.
After a tough second hole on the front nine, Gilstrap came back to secure a birdie on the par-5 third hole.
Naomi Huang was able to turn around her round on the second nine, improving by seven strokes.
Maggie Parmer closed out her opening nine with four pars on the final five holes.
Parmer was able to secure her first birdie of the day on the par-4 sixth hole.
Kenzie McCallum battled her way through the opening 18 holes, improving her score by three strokes on the second nine.
