
Gilstrap Leads Bulldogs on Day 1 of Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate

MORGANTON, N.C. – The Citadel's Paige Gilstrap shot an opening-round 79 on her way to leading the Bulldogs through the first two rounds of the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate Monday at the Mimosa Hills Golf and Country Club.
As a team, the Bulldogs shot an opening-round 336 and followed it up with a second round 348 to sit in 12th place.

How it Happened
- Paige Gilstrap led the way with an opening round 79.
- Gilstrap started her day on the 12th hole and parred three of the first four holes.
- She overcame on a bogey on the 17th hole with a birdie on the par-4 18th hole.
- On the front nine, Gilstrap shot par on four of the first five holes and finished the outward nine with six pars, shooting three-over par.
- Gilstrap came back in her second round of the day and shot an 85. She finished her round with three-straight pars.
- Megan Ikeda shot an opening-round 84, before coming back in the afternoon to shoot an 81.
