CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Following a strong showing over the weekend, The Citadel redshirt sophomore Patrick Brophy earned recognition as the Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week, scoring second overall within the 197 lbs division at the Navy Clasic behind a final 2-1 mark for the individual tournament. Notably, the Chapin, S.C., product knocked off No. 101 Austin Starr of Ohio along with No. 37 Payton Thomas of Navy before narrowly faltering in the championship bout to No. 7 Trey Munoz of Oregon State, helping the Bulldogs to an overall sixth-place finish as a team for the event.
