Bulldogs Post Strong Performances at Collegiate Challenge

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams had one event winner and seven top-ten performances in school history at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge.

  • Solomon Ghosh took second in the hammer toss with 147-10.
  • Jack was second in the vault with a PR of 14-3.5 to earn the tenth all-time spot.
  • Arthur was fourth in the Javelin with 184-0, earning the eighth all-time spot.
  • Treonte Newton ran a PR in the 100m with 10.76 to qualify for the semis and then ran 10.96 to qualify for the finals.
  • Demetrius Shine ran a 10.88 in the 100m to qualify for the semis.
  • Bradlee Jones ran 10.96 to qualify for the semis and then ran 10.94 to qualify for the finals.
  • Dylan Thompson ran 10.96 to qualify for the semis and ran 11.00 in the semis.
  • Ian McCorkle had a PR in the Javelin with 171-10 to take sixth.
  • Briggs Rehome was eighth in the javelin with a throw of 160-8.
  • The 4x200 of Dylan Thompson, Treonte Newtown, Mac Strunk, and Bradlee Jones ran 1:29.43 to take fourth.
  • The 4x800 of Jared Campbell, Wyatt Carey, Ben Fancher, and Brett Cobb ran 8:36.91 to take fourth.
